Re: General questions & problems: Logitech Driving Force GT
I have a Logitech Driving Force and it works perfectly, although I have the older version instead of the one shown in that video. I think it functions exactly the same though. It certainly didn't work correctly in the demo version, even with Logitech Profiler.
All you should have to do is the following (with the full game at least).
1) Download and install Logitech Gaming Software (Profiler). Your wheel must be fully plugged in to use it. Click "Select A Device" and choose your steering wheel.
2) Go to "Profile" > "New..." and find your "cbs.exe" in your Program Files directory. Fill in the rest however you want, then click OK.
3) Click on "Select A Game" and choose whatever you named your new CBS profile. You'll now have a blank profile, with everything at its default configuration. The main window should now look like
this. The picture of your steering wheel and pedals might be different if you have the newer style of Logitech Driving Force.
4) Go to "Edit" > "Specific Game Settings..." and you will be presented with a window like
this. Change the settings to what I have. This is how I have mine set up, yours can be different, but it's best to keep the bottom settings as I have them and just set up the top section as you like (the force feedback settings). Once you're happy, click OK. You can always go back and tweak any of these settings at any time if you don't like how you set it.
5) Go to "Options" > "Global Device Settings..." and you should have a window pop up like
this. Again, change all of your settings to the same as the picture shows, but you can set the top 3 sliders to whatever you want. When happy, click OK.
6) Go to "Options" > "Global Profiler Settings" and a window should pop up that looks like
this. Make sure the "Apply profiles to games automatically" radio button is selected like in the picture, and click OK.
That's it, all the other settings should be fine at their defaults. You don't have to keep the Logitech Gaming Software window up, you can close it (it will minimise to the system tray, not fully exit). If you want to completely exit the program, just right-click on the icon in the system tray (bottom right hand corner of the screen) and click "Exit". However, if the program is not running in the background at all then it will not affect games, so always make sure it's running before playing.
Go ahead and start up City Bus Simulator 2010, and it should work perfectly.
