Hey, if you maybe have some trouble to get changed textures in CBS2010 to work, or even changing textures, I wrote a little beginners-tutorial to help you with that. Only things you need to know, are the basics of Pictureediting-Programs. Please note, that I´m not a native english speaker/writer and so on, so the tutorial could contain some mistakes. If you find some, let me know about how it has to be correctly, and I´ll edit it.
Important: Textures for the Editor have to have following Sizes, otherwhise the Editor wont import your Texture:8x8, 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024 or 2048x2048Very first, you need the original "Bodytexture" of the "Design-X-X3Evo":
http://design-x-buses.de/repaints/DX-X3 ... ur-TGA.rarAnd, if you want to place an advertising-image on it, you´ll need that picture/texture too.
For this tutorial I used "Paint.Net", but you can use every other Program which supports *.TGA-Textures.
->
http://www.paint.net/So, we open both Textures/Images, pick the one which has to be copied to the maintexture, press CTRL+A, after that CTRL+C to copy it.

Switch to the Maintexture (upside, right), press CTRL+V to insert the advertising-Image or text or what ever you want to place on it.

now youve got to move/scale the advertisingimage a little bit so it fits to the textureable area.

Same thing for the other side, just press CTRL+V again and move/scale the image.

If thats done, just save your changes. I prefer to rename your new texture, so you always know which one you modified.

Please pay attention to compress the Texture
(Komprimieren (RLE) ) (german version), otherwise youll get huge MB-Sizes, which could kill some FPS/Performance:

Start CBS2010, wait until Intro is over, or just press ESC to abort it. as soon as the Intro is over, hit
CTRL+N to open up the Editor.
In Editor, click on
"WORLD" -> Load from Model Resource and search the *.MDL-File of the vehicle/bus....

should look something like this:

As soon as the Model is loaded, youll see some dizzy stuff, dont care about that!.

Before you can import your new texture, youve got to copy it to folder: \TML-Studios\City Bus Simulator 2010 - New York\Import\Game\userdata\vehicles\DX3EVO
Switch back to Editor now and click at
"TOOLS" -> import Texture. Open up the folder where you copied the new texture to and select the texture.

New window should pop up, you dont need to take care about the settings in there, just hit the blue Import-Button

your texture should be imported now and saved as
TEXTURENAME.TEX. Tab out of the Editor and search for TEXTURNAME.TEX which should be saved in following directory:
\TML-Studios\City Bus Simulator 2010 - New York\Data\Game\userData\vehicles\DX3EVOBut its not the correct directory, youve got to move or copy it to
\texture.
If done, switch back to the Editor.
Left below
Standard-Geometries the
Materialbrowser should be, to open it, doubleclick into the "Image-Field", a new window should pop up. There you search for the old Bodytexture, in this case, the third from left. Click on it once, some Informations should be shown on the right side.
Search for
Texture Map (Primary), next to it there should be a blue arrow,
click it once...
Again, a new window should pop up, youve got to search for your new texture, should be saved here:
\Data\Game\userData\vehicles\DX3EVO\texture, choose your texture and hit the blue
OK-Button.

Click on the blue
"CLOSE"-Button.

Thats it, just save your changes. Click at
"WORLD" -> "Save to Model Resource"
Choose
"model.mdl" and click at
OK.

Last step: Close the Editor on the upper side, right.
click at the red X. You´ll get prompted if you want to save the changes as *.WLD too, normally I dont do that, so if you dont want to, hit
"DISCARD"...

Start the freeride, choose the vehicles you made the changes for. It should appear with the new texture.
I hope this tutorial helps atleast a little bit.
Please remember, that I´m not a native english speaker, so if you find mistakes, just PM me, and I´ll try to fix them.
